DIMENSIONAL SERVICES

At CHIROPRACTIC DIMENSIONS, our Complete Chiropractic Care consists of Chiropractic, Functional Progressive Rehabilitation, Soft-Tissue Manipulation using Graston® or Active Release® Techniques, Complex Nutritional Programs, and posture and gait analysis. By being multi-dimensional in our approach to healing our patients, we can achieve quick results and gain high patient satisfaction; all while being cost effective.

CHIROPRACTIC
At the heart of Chiropractic are the specific adjustments given to the joints of the spine and the extremities. These adjustments not only aid in pain control, they also increase the range of motion of the adjusted area, improve nerve signal transmission that can have positive affects on organ function, improve balance of the muscular system (e.g. spasms, posture defaults, etc.), and can improve your immune system function. By improving motion, nerve and muscular balance, chiropractic care can prolong an active life and decrease the progression of degeneration.

FUNCTIONAL PROGRESSIVE REHABILITATION
The idea behind this principle is the combination of resistance training and physical therapy in a FUNCTIONAL manner, with progression as the common thread. Functional movements use specific muscles that activate at the proper time, the proper angle and at the proper length. Non-functional or dysfunctional movements use the wrong muscles that compensate for the proper muscles being shortened and weak, activating at the wrong time or at the wrong angle. We at CHIROPRACTIC DIMENSIONS decide what is functional and dysfunctional by our detailed examination.

Most resistive training movements are performed in non-functional motions that lead to weakened functional movements. When our patients come to our clinic after an injury or trauma (we consider trauma and injury any accident, surgery, posture faults, repetitive strains or other physically compromising situations), we must retrain and strengthen these normal, functional movement patterns. At CHIROPRACTIC DIMENSIONS, we efficiently do this by implementing specific, progressive rehabilitation protocols designed to train functional movements, inhibit dysfunctional movements, and improve core strength and balance.

We individualize at-home protocols to fit our patients’ particular lifestyles, time constraints and activities. It is essential for our patients to be as active as possible within their injury limits, termed active rest. CHIROPRACTIC DIMENSIONS believes this is the best approach to a successful treatment plan.

SOFT-TISSUE MANIPULATION
Soft tissue is defined as muscles, ligaments, fascia, tendons and nerves. These tissues are the structures that hold your skeletal system intact and allow it to move and function. When these structures become injured or inflamed due to direct trauma, repetitive stress, overuse, and nutritional deficiencies, they become scarred and sticky. These structures stick to surrounding structures which prevents full movement, causes pain, weakens the muscles and leads to chronic problems. The analogy is muscle should be like a rubber band and soft tissue injury causes them to become a rope. These structures MUST be evaluated and treated.

Manipulation is defined as to treat or move a part of the body such as a joint or large group of muscles. Two of the leading edge soft-tissue techniques are offered in our clinic, Active Release Technique® and Graston Technique®. These techniques allow thorough evaluation of the texture, tightness, and movement of the soft tissues in order to detect areas of weakened or fibrotic tissue. After careful evaluation the affected areas are treated by breaking the fascial restrictions or sticky portions apart to allow free functional movement.

COMPLEX NUTRITIONAL PROGRAMS
Proper nutrition is the fundamental key in a healthy lifestyle. It speeds the healing process, prevents and cures disease, and allows us to THRIVE not just survive. However, a very small percentage of our patients actually get the proper nutrition they need. This is due to the consumption of processed foods, lack of the “right” foods, and eating nutritional deficient foods. Because most of today’s foods are nutritionally void, we MUST supplement our diet to insure we get all the nutrients we need.

Here comes the hard part. Each individual is deficient in different nutrients as compared to the next person. So how do we find out what each person needs? We obtain a blood test. The results are entered into a Health Equations® database. We then have a consultation with a Health Equations doctor, where they give us their recommendations on our patients’ nutritional health status and what supplemental protocol to use. There is much research done by Health Equations and their protocols have great results in returning patients back to health. THIS SERVICE IS RESERVED FOR OUR HIGHLY COMMITTED PATIENTS WHO TRULY WANT TO GET WELL FROM THE INSIDE OUT!

For our other unique patients who want a nutritional program to follow or simple nutritional advice to supplement their daily life, we offer great programs.

  • Great line of whole food supplements (Whole food supplements are the most bio-available to your body)
  • Diet Advice for weight loss, anti-aging and prevention, and an overall healthy lifestyle
  • Nutritional Support for faster injury healing and pain reduction

Whatever your nutritional needs, CHIROPRACTIC DIMENSIONS will help you fill them!
